What is the Winter Journal Challenge?

The Winter Journal Challenge (or WJC) is an annual creative journaling challenge that I host on Instagram and YouTube every single December. It’s a creative, festive, communal celebration of all things art journaling and Christmas – it really is most wonderful time of the year!

2024 ‘Seasonal Sensations’ Edition

This year’s edition of the challenge is a little different! I’ve created all of the prompts to centre around the senses: the sights smells, sounds and feelings of December. As there’s a lot to explore within each prompt (and it is already a very busy time!) I’ve allocated 3 days to each prompt so we can all take our time and move at our own pace with the prompts, creating as much or as little as we like.

The #WinterJournalChallenge 2024 YouTube Creator collaboration.

This is the first year we will have a YouTube creator collaboration for the Winter Journal Challenge. Having 1 prompt for every 3 days this year means that we can see more than one YouTube collab creator’s interpretation for each prompt, which I’m really excited about, because I think it’s so fun and inspiring to see how two different makers will create totally different things born from the same prompt!
