What is the Winter Journal Challenge?

The Winter Journal Challenge (or WJC) is an annual creative journaling challenge that I host (mainly on Instagram but hopefully coming to YouTube in 2024) every single December. It’s is a creative, festive, communal celebration of all things art journaling and Christmas – it really is most wonderful time of the year!

About the Challenge:

This is a December daily christmas-themed journaling challenge.

There is a one-word one prompt for every day in December.

Interpret the prompts in your journal, using any medium/style you like.

You can take part every day and do every prompt, or just do the ones you like, feel free to combine them or dip in and out. This is just for fun!

Share your work using the hashtag #WinterJournalChallenge so the WJC community can find and support you!

As many entries as possible will be shared on @InspiringJournals to over 100k followers!

Next year (Dec 2024) will be the fifth year I’m hosting the annual Winter Journal Challenge, I’d love to celebrate by hosting a ‘journal hop’ style YouTube Collaboration where 30 wonderful creators join together to bring you a journaling video for every prompt of the challenge! This will be similar to the collaboration I hosted for the Halloween Journal Challenge 2023, which you can find here.
